The Friends of Deerfield, are pleased to announce that the jewel altarpiece of the former St James Church, Augustus Vincent Tack's "The Deposition from the Cross" 100-year-old large oil painting mural will be fully restored and redisplayed in Deerfield during 2026. Anyone interested in participating in this historical preservation project and any supporters who might be early lead donors should immediately contact Friends of Deerfield via email.

Friends of Deerfield, along with Gianfranco Pocobene & Corrine Long from his studio, with support from community members, successfully removed the Mural from the former St. James Church. The Mural is now at Gianfranco's Studio and in good hands.
